Our lil Baltic Cruise...where do I start?!

ok, so I know this is far too many pictures...I tried picking out 1-2 favs for each country...so much for that :)
Our lovely lil cruise left port in Copenhagen, Denmark, but we got a day or so to wander around the city...looking of course like the typical tourists!
COPENHAGEN, DK.

...just a lil disclaimer, i have a horrible memory for history, so forgive me for my minimal explanations for some of these pics...this one has something to do with My Little Mermaid (the sculpture came first, not the movie :)
This is our massive boat...the MS Eurodam, only has sailed three times so far...fortunately not named the MS Titanic.

TALLINN, ESTONIA
I did not know what to expect when I heard we were going to Estonia (where is that anyways?!) But I loved every minute of this place, amazing architecture, quaint lil town square and great local arts and crafts!

St. Petersburg, Russia
St. Issac's Cathedral
oh this pic, i know, looks like a postcard...thanks to Eric's mad photo skills...so this amazing lil joint is called "Cathedral of Christ's Resurrection"...mosaic work on every inch of the interior.
...I didn't kill em, I promise!
Hermitage Museum...and original Da Vinci. To look at every piece of art in this museum for one second, it would take 6 years!...luckily we had no such time!

...And you think beyonce has some hips! ...a dress of Katherine the Great's.
Katherine the Great's Summer palace...oh, ain't no thing...talk about
a cleaning staff!
Peter the Great's Palace/Fountain Garden
the date was 08.08.08 so lots of weddings everywhere...those are not her legs :)

HELSINKI, FINLAND

Temppeliaukio Church (Church of the Rock)
...carved into a huge boulder and topped with a copper dome.
...a lil town called "Porvoo", sound familiar? Most unique lil town, great for chocolate, scarfs & knitted things, and amzing painted homes/shops...one of my fav above.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
Eric's fam...great to travel with!
The Vasa...an amazing "lil" battleship built in the 1600's by the King at the time...he was a bit over-zealous on the amount of cannons...he added a extra row last minute...only to see (well, not really, he was out of town oddly enough!) his work of art tip over and SINK to the bottom of the harbor on its maiden voyage...oopsies! So in the 70's a guy figured out how to bring it back up and now it stands inside this musuem in Stockholm. Almost completely preserved by the clay it sat in for over 300 years. It was quite the sight!
I heart Lighthouses (as you can tell!) the coastline leaving Stockholm was one of my favorites!

BERLIN, GERMANY
(where people smoke like chimneys...oh, and in russia!)
...Holocaust monuments, open to interpretation as to what it means...the tour guide did not have much to say on the holocaust, obviously not too proud of that part of their history.
Remnants of the Berlin wall, as seen from our speeding bus...our tour guide struggled!...
however he did tell us that they call this building "Pamela Anderson's Breasts" good to know she is representin the US!
